This award is given annually to a graduating student who has done inspirational, creative work in the Stanford Product Realization Laboratory (or PRL). Nominations and selection are made by the current PRL Course Assistants. It is given in memory of Professor Jim Adams, whose teaching combined scholarship with creativity, and whose leadership transformed our student shops into the PRL that transforms our students today.
This year’s award goes to a student who is a remarkably creative individual whose artisanship shines through his work at the Product Realization Lab. His passion for crafting and attention to detail result in beautifully executed projects that inspire others. Moreover, his generous spirit is evident in his willingness to share his expertise and is a source of inspiration for fellow makers: John Luke Miller.
