Shannon Grace Li selected for James L. Adams Creativity Award

This award is given annually to a graduating student who has done inspirational, creative work in the Stanford Product Realization Laboratory. Nominations and selection are made by the community of currently appointed PRL CAs.

Jim was a prolific thinker and writer, whose teaching combined scholarship in creativity, engineering prowess, and aesthetic sensitivity; enlightening thousands of students to both technical and human issues in engineering design. His leadership transformed our student shops into today’s world-class PRL. In fact, without Jim Adams there would be no PRL.

This 5th annual Award goes to Shannon Grace Li, a remarkably creative individual whose artisanship shines through her work at the Product Realization Lab. Her design projects are always rooted in joy and curiosity. She is extremely detail-oriented and continuously plans and iterates her designs to ensure an accurately realized vision. Moreover, Shannon’s generous spirit is evident in her willingness to share her expertise, and is a source of inspiration for fellow makers.
