Exploring new avenues of making and design, writing puzzles, drinking matcha, and the sun.

My Favorite Project

The Mahler Hammer and Box. Since Mahler’s 6th symphony typically calls for a massive hammer blow on a huge resonance box, the instrument is typically custom built for the orchestra performing the piece. Thus, when the Stanford Symphony Orchestra was scheduled to play the piece, I decided that I wanted to build the hammer and box!
